The development of Fresco started in 2018 as a structured whiteboarding experience. The 2020 pandemic put a spotlight on how important it is to improve how education is delivered online when learners have to do it for prolonged period of time. Existing solutions struggle to keep learners engaged and motivated because they neglect the social aspect and have interfaces that are not optimized for active participation.
Our why: To make learning online fun and social so that learners are fully engaged and online learning become a viable alternative.
Our solution is based on three pillars:
- Live video: if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is on another level to convey a message.
- Spatialization: spatialization humanizes the online experience, encourages exploration and makes it easy for learners to bond.
- Customization: we instil a sense of ownership and control by allowing customization at several levels (avatar, space, content).
